Every day we wake up next to our partners, we make breakfast together, we read the paper, we socialize with friends, we watch TV, we listen to records, we make decisions, we call our moms, we get groceries, we cheer for our favorite sports teams, and we go to bed late. Every day life feels as normal as life can ever really feel.
And then the world we live in reminds us that they don’t think we’re normal. They take polls on whether or not we should have the same rights that they take for granted.
As much as we are politically active, and constantly fighting for equality, these reminders of how many people fundamentally disapprove of us, without even knowing us, is deeply troubling.
